The Control Chart is used to identify dynamic and special causes of variation in a repeating process.
Notes
Control Charts were defined by Walter Shewart. Control limits are sometimes also called Action Limits,
although this can also have a very different meaning (Control Limits are
calculated; Action Limits may be assigned).
